Peggy Karr was thrilled to report that five weeks ago, she took herself off of all her medications without incident, and her CT scan showed remarkably clear lungs.
Allan Kugel reported that his dad, Alfred Kugel, died on May 11 at age 91, just short of his 70th wedding anniversary. Allan said that his father lived a full life which included visiting every continent (including Antarctica). He worked as an investment analyst until age 83, a job he loved.
Sam Edelston was proud to report that his children were involved in the Miss New York Pageant. Julie sang the National Anthem and Ro-z did the lighting.
Jean Scully went to a talk by the India's first openly gay Prince who is also an LBGTQ activist. She and Dave got to meet him and went to a fundraiser banquet he attended. The Prince also visited her son Von, and invited Von to visit him in India. They also saw a screening of the documentary "Pieces of Us" which was about LBGTQ hate-crime survivors (including the Prince). The survivors were also at the screening, and they got to meet them.
Elizabeth Lachowicz, besides attending the events reported by Jean Scully, participated in a Zoom call with the Indian Prince. During the call, she learned that, along with all his other activities, he teaches English to Indians because the local dialects fuel the caste system.
Mike Agranoff has a number of performances coming up including one in Silver Spring, MD this weekend, and two in the Boston area next weekend and one in Princeton the end of May. He also is looking forward to seeing Margaret Crowl and Dave Levenson who are coming for a visit and to see Sam Edelston perform.
Mark Schaffer thanked everyone for their kind condolences for the death of Robin's father Howie Richman.
