We had three good dances with excellent performers but lost $141 in December.
On December 5, Linda Leslie called to Moving Violations.
On December 19, Maia McCormick called to Wry Bred
On December 31, Donna Hunt called to Party of Three
On December 5 and New Year's Eve there were other excellent dances that lured the people who live closer to those dances than to Swingin' Tern.
In February Swingin' Tern will hold a volunteer meeting to discuss recent events and plan for the future.
Since the last board meeting, we lost Joel Remde, who had been sick since last June. Joel has been as important as any volunteer to Swingin' Tern over the past thirty-two years, but that doesn't really tell who he was. He was a man of good and generous spirit, he was a man of good humor, he was a man who was a friend to all. Joel and the rest of humanity evidently had a similar attitude toward each other. He never said a bad word about anyone else, nor did anyone else offer anything but praise and admiration for him and how he conducted himself.
We are lucky to have had Joel, and we will sorely miss him.
