Hi all,
It is my lovely bride's birthday today so I'll not be spending it with you!
We have three events in the hopper and two on the move.
Uke New Jersey August 30-31 at MUF.
Uke New Jersey is (pretty much) up and running. Paypal ticket links are active and I expect to have real tickets for Minstrel this Friday. John Lamb and I will be working out a few web bugs this week (the SC page was not designed to handle events that span multiple days with many performers).
Nancy has asked me to try my hand at writing a press release so I'll be doing that this week as well.
This event carries a pretty substantial financial commitment from the FP so talk it up often and enthusiastically. We also want major plugs at Minstrel, S&T, EOMs and anywhere else you can think of. There are flyers at Minstrel and I'll get more to anyone that has a place to put them.
David Gans house concert with satellite radio program broadcast Sunday July 21.
A relatively cheap, easy gig. $15 (donation), reservation only (bring cash) no physical tickets, no performer guarantee. Nation wide audience for the radio program. A great chance to introduce the Folk Project to the larger Deadhead community. Fun for all!
The one still in the early stages is the Chicks with Dip at the Minstrel on October 4. A dozen area women re-creating Joni Mitchell's "Blue" album. Details next month.
Any questions? You can call me after 9:00 and put me on speaker phone if you like.
