Total attendance at our May 5th dance, at 71, was slightly above the average of 68 for first Saturdays in May over the last six years. Attendance at the May 19th dance, at 53, was considerably lower than the six-year average of 79 for that date. For January through May, we still have net income of $128.
At our committee meeting of May 9th, we viewed the Cablevision segment filmed at our February 3rd dance, which we are told aired several times a week during April, in the Morris County area. We judged it an excellent job.
Our June 2nd dance was attended by a reporter and photographer from a Millburn-Short Hills newspaper, which intends to include us in an issue entitled "A Perfect Day in Chatham." There were only 62 dancers at this dance, another way-below-average figure.
Our plans for the summer include a workshop for beginning callers, to be held before our open-mike dance Aug.18th.
