Subject: Treasurer's Report, March 2017
Greetings, folks -
I usually like to get this into people's hands earlier than the day of the meeting itself, but I was waiting on some missing information. Particularly at the end of quarter, I like the report to be as complete as possible.
More specifically, we haven't actually been billed for newsletter printing yet this year, so I estimated monthly costs based on Q4 of 2017. When I get the actual invoices, that may require some adjustments. This report also includes ASCAP and BMI fees for Minstrel and Special Concerts, but I'm waiting on paperwork from Open Stage and the Valentine's Day show.
As of March 31, we show $22,904 in checking (most of which is Getaway revenue), another $18,656 in the Money Market, $230 in Petty Cash and another $129,227 in the Vanguard account. That Vanguard number is probably a little low. We usually adjust that at the end of each quarter, but Andy Koenig has passed on the management of Vanguard to the Treasurer, and we are in mid-transition at this point. Once that's complete, he's going to train me up on the process, so stay tuned for further developments.
Just to clarify, we now have several insurance policies in play, and the numbers you see at the department level reflect an Accident policy and a Liability policy, which are being billed monthly. There's also a Directors and Officers policy, billed annually, which is in the -FP General column. That policy costs us $580, and the number is smaller because it also contains a 2017 rebate from the final policy, for Workers' Comp, which is billed annually in December.
I won't be able to make tonight's meeting if yesterday's cancellation is cancelled, but I'm sure you'll manage without me. Let me know if you have questions.
Regards,
Chris
