This is a summary of what's been happening with Constant Contact since I last sent an update at the end of January. We sent two messages to folks whose membership had expired -- one for people whose membership had expired in the last 12 months and another for people whose membership had expired earlier than that. The emails got a good response and it appeared that several people renewed their membership as a result of our reminders. I met with Rick Thomas and showed him how to use Constant Contact so he will be able to send out the next reminder on his own.
I set up Joel Remde with the CC login information and Swingin' Tern is up and running. They have sent about eight emails reminding people of upcoming dances.
We used CC to publicize the Craobh Rua special concert on April 3. We sent two emails to both the Special Concerts mailing list and the Active FP Members list, one to tell people about the concert and a second shortly before the concert as a reminder. They got a good response and it appears that people were prompted to buy tickets as a result.
In February, the Eve o' Music was held at the Heilbruns. Jeff Heilbrun requested that we contact the membership with special parking instructions because of the huge amount of snow on his street. Using CC, we were able to quickly craft an email and send it to all active members alerting them to the situation.
