The Swingin' Tern report for February 3:
On January 3 Swingin' Tern had its thirty-first anniversary dance.
Swingin' Tern all-star callers took turns calling to Strumbow Squeezeblow, and it was a good dance. It was on a snowy, icy night.
Usually one the anniversary dance is one of the best of the year financially. This time we lost $245.
On January 17 Bryan Suchenski called to Big Chaos Band. It was another good dance with several beginners attending. There was just a small loss (of $5), which was a good result for a third-Saturday dance.
On February 7 Swingin' Tern' committee will meet to address promotion and discuss how to improve financial results. The committee has discussed this informally for two months and several steps have been taken. More will result from the meeting and the actions taken after the meeting. The FP board will be informed fully in the next report.
