Current CDC Guidelines and impact on FP Special Events Chair Mark Schaffer stated that New Jersey is a relatively safe place, but the information is changing fast. He described the medical findings that showed that the chances of a vaccinated person getting a severe case of Covid are extremely rare, except in the cases of those with a co-morbidity. Board members reiterated that FP venue chairs would follow the CDC guidelines at a minimum.
Resumption of In-person board meetings A number of board members spoke both for and against live meetings, with a number of possible solutions discussed. One of the solutions suggested was for President Elizabeth Lachowicz to resolve the quandary by executive fiat. Elizabeth chose to exercise that option and declared, that for the remainder of her term, meetings will be via Zoom.
