Swingin' Tern
The Swingin' Tern report for January 5:
December is normally a good month because of the holiday dance and New Year's Eve. This time ST also held a double dance on December 6, featuring Perpetual e-Motion and Janine Smith--performers that draw people outside our normal area. On December 20, ST hosted Hog Wild and Will Mentor, and on New Year's Eve, Coracree and Bob Isaacs performed.
December's performers are all stars on the east coast or within our region.
All three dances finished in the black, and the financial results for the month were $318 to the good. This continues the pattern of lower-than-usual attendance relative to the quality of the performers.
The Swingin' Tern committee will meet in February to address promotion.
