Newsletter Committee Report 2014-11
Things are proceeding as usual with help from Pat Brangs, Nancy Kelner, Liz Pagan, Bill Henderson, Paul Fisher, and Eddie Roffman. As usual, Pat had 300 copies of the newsletter printed, with 190 issues mailed out and the rest distributed to the usual venues and people.
The only thing new to report is that I have set up the database to keep track of the venues and performers listed in the Venues and Calendar sections of the newsletter, and have created the scripts used to extract the information in the form needed for the newsletter. This should reduce errors and provide greater consistency in the listings, as well as speed up creating those sections each month. I will begin using this with the next newsletter.
