Festival Report

Hi All,

We are proceeding well on our way to a successful Festival at the end of this month. Our flyer was in the July and August newsletters and is in the September Newsletter. Our volunteer schedule is developed. We continue to distribute our Open Mike brochures at as many Open Mike locations as Joe, Mark and I can visit between now and end of registration; and there are many. As I reported last month, the special appeal to the Open Mike participants which we are promoting for the first time this festival is aimed to increase the Saturday and Sunday commuter registrations as well as full weekend registrations. We continue to get promotional psa’s on WFDU from Carol Beaugard and many of the other DJ’s every day. There have been a few glitches in the on line registration; however, we think we have fixed them. Our registration is down 13 from last year at this time, but with close of early bird on Friday I expect the registration to go up once all the procrastinators among us have noticed this and received their round tuits so they can save a few bucks. I am optimistic we will have a successful Festival at the end of the month.
