Publicity Committee Report - July 2012
Webmaster Report – John Lamb
I made minor updates to the website as requested by Ralph Litwin, Mike Agranoff and others. Since I have been very busy with other concerns, Lori Falco has stepped up to assist with several issues, including responding to questions concerning the electronic newsletter and working with Allan Kugel on moving the Minstrel Gram to Constant Contact. As always, questions, comments and suggestions sent to webmaster@folkproject.org are always welcome.
Facebook Report - Pam Robinson
In the week ending 6/26/12, the Folk Project's FB page and related stories and events have been seen by 1,025 unique viewers. This is awesome.
Publicity Chairman Report – Nancy Kelner
The publicity committee continued to cover approximately six dozen outlets. Thanks to all the committee members. Many hands make light work.
Jennifer Nelson of the Daily Record did a story about Carla Ulbrich and the Loose Canons, who performed at the Minstrel on June 22. Here is the link: www.dailyrecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2012306220032
The Morris County Tourism Bureau has a new website; asked them to tweak our listing which got a little jumbled in the changeover; it was done instantly. Website is www.morristourism.org and our link is www.morristourism.org/entertainment_music.php
Kevin Coughlin of Morristown Green, who is very good to the Folk Project, posted a video of Carla Ulbrich’s performance on June 22 at the Minstrel. Here is the link: http://morristowngreen.com/2012/06/29/video-for-your-commute-to-the-shore-carla-ulbrich-sings-the-magic-word-at-the-minstrel/
There was a short article about the July Minstrel concerts in the July Bucks County Folk Song Society newsletter. I emailed the editor to thank her.
On Jean Scully’s suggestion, I contacted Paul Ferris, Folk Project member and Irish language teacher, for additions to our Celtic niche list. Paul gave us a few more contacts.
On a personal note, I want to thank everyone for their calls and emails after my recent fall. I have the most wonderful friends in the world. I mean it.
