Hi All,
I had the time of my life this last weekend and I think I can safely say we had a successful Festival this fall. Our flyers, Open Mike Brochures, and recruitment efforts in music shops and open mike venues paid off in making up for the expected loss of dance attendees. Our volunteers did a great job and all deserve a round of thanks from all of us. I thank them all and they have my love and appreciation. Our Festival Staff, who ran the show for us, deserve our thanks, appreciation, and love; and have mine The promotional psa’s on WFDU from Carol Beaugard and many of the other DJ’s also helped get the word out, as well as the tireless efforts of our Publicity Chair. I must give additional accolades to the Festival Pilot Group composed of Joe Patraitis and Mark Schaffer, whose special talents made this festival possible. Without Mark and Joe, I would be in a rubber room today. I need to thank Lori Falco and Barbara Moo for their patience with me, their tireless work, and their willingness to work with me and the Pilot Group to bring the continuity of their knowledge and past festival experience forward and give it to us. These are two very special women who deserve our thanks and appreciation; and have my gratitude and love. I know I have not named all the wonderful people without whose efforts this festival would have been a much more difficult undertaking; but they and I know who they are and they all have a right to be proud of their accomplishments; and they all have my love and appreciation.
I have some preliminary numbers that we quickly threw together:
Preliminary Balance sheet for the 2011 Fall Festival
Please note: This a quick recap. We need to go over all the data to come up with the final numbers. We do have outstanding receivables and payables, which should amount to no more than $150 on the cost side.
See you all soon,
Carl Croce
