I don't plan to do this every month, and no, this is not a committee report, but since I won't be at the meeting tomorrow night and there's been a lot of Constant Contact activity this month, I thought it would be good if I shared the latest news with all of you.
I have updated our Constant Contact account so that we may have up to 2,500 contacts. I have also added their MyLibraryPlus service so that we can store unlimited images with CC to enhance the look of our emails. We are now paid up for the next year.
I spoke with Joel Remde, who handles the email list for Swingin' Tern. He now has all the information he needs to move the Tern mailing list over to CC. He is planning to move his processing over to CC very soon -- probably with his next mailing.
I met with Mike Agranoff and showed him how CC works. He is considering using it for the Minstrel-gram.
I received a list from Rick Thomas of folkies whose FP membership had expired in the last 12 months. Working with Rick, I entered the names into CC and sent an email that Rick composed to 169 addresses reminding people that their membership had expired and telling them how they could renew. Within 24 hours after the email was sent, 7 people had already renewed their membership through PayPal.
Stay warm and dry everyone,
Lori
