Webmaster Report – John Lamb
It's been a pretty average month for the web team. The site continues on its merry way, as
designed, handling many of its functions without the need for constant attention from the
websters. We did get involved in a few things, including routine updates of mailing
forwarders, updating the site to reflect that the Paxton concert has sold out, assisting the
Special Concerts committee with posting publicity for the Calan concert and the third
annual Uke Fest, and continued work on the occasional problem of forwarding email to
addresses on yahoo.com. As always, many thanks to Lori, Allan, Charles and Barbara.
Keep those questions, comments and suggestions coming to webmaster@folkproject.org.
Facebook Report – Pam Robinson
In accordance with Trade Marking The Folk Project brand, I have renamed the FaceBook Group,
The Minstrel an Acoustic Concert Series to The Folk Project.
New members are joining the group and we have over 100.

Report From “The Chair” – Paul Fisher
May was a calmer month for the Publicity Committee and allowed some catching up.
Because a number of outlets have deadlines on the 15th of the month, we are shifting our internal
deadlines so that all materials are in the hands of the committee by the 10th of the month. This gives
everyone 5 days to distribute the releases.
We sent out our first special release for the Tom Paxton concert. Right before press time, we
modified the focus to take into account that the concert itself is sold out. We will continue with
additional releases focused on getting real press for the concert and our big anniversary!
We have already had requests to set up interviews with Tom and have served as a conduit to his
publicist.
We need to see what we can do for getting the word out about the Calan concert in July.
We are looking at things for Uke NJ 3. Scooter, do you have any connection with Ukulele
Unlimited or any other uke publications or websites?
I believe that we renewed our membership in the Morris County Tourism Bureau (Chris?). Our
listing and ad have both appeared in the just-published guide which was distributed at the last Board
meeting. Mike Agranoff did notice that it mentions getting in free with the ad, which he was not
aware of and which we will remove when we update copy for the next one. Does anyone know
who did the copy for the last ad?
We are still investigating participating in other websites such as Fun New Jersey and
njskylands.com. Mike Agranoff was also contacted by “All Events in City” and he passed the
contact information to the Publicity Committee for consideration.
Nancy has continued her hard work for the June 5 EastRiver Ensemble concert at The Minstrel and
has made a big effort to locate and develop niche outlets for Chinese arts. She produced and has
been sharing and posting a flyer plus she has arranged for a Mandarin interpreter to be at the show.
Great work, Nancy!
Nancy also recruited Howard Goldman to take over a few small outlets as an intro to the committee.
Welcome, Howard!
Publicity is still seeking a new member to replace Cathy Ballard. The workload is not heavy and
usually only comes once per month around the 10th. If anyone knows of a good candidate, please
contact publicitychair@folkproject.org and Nancy and I will contact them.
