Prez Report 15.06
I. 10K Grant
A. Many hours of work have been contributed by Elizabeth Lachowicz, Mike Agranoff and Mike Del Vecchio towards productively and creatively managing the many issues this Grant has brought with it. I have set a target date of October 6 to have finalized these items:
1. Create a clear and compelling consensus among our Board of what this Grant represents to both the Folk Project and to our landlord MUF
2. Established with MUF a clear expectation of what this Grant money will mean to their ongoing renovation plans.
3. Build a working framework with MUF on the actual distribution of monies,
4. Refine and finish a 10K Grant Motion for a Board vote, with the purpose of formalizing all aspects of the 10K Grant.
B. This Grant represents a huge gift, both to us and to MUF. An unexpected part of that gift to the Folk Project is the demand on the Board of Directors for administrative clarity and precision in responding to this donation. After winding our way thru all the intricacies of this situation, I think we’ll be a leaner, more agile org. better able to respond to whatever comes our way in the future.
II. Meet the Board second installment
A. The ongoing newsletter series Meet the Board continues this month with a contribution from our Trustee Jay Wilensky. Jay is a good writer, and his interview response is just enough outside the box to be a memorable read. Be sure to check it out in our next newsletter!
III. Key Dates
A. Our Folk Project calendar has not Key Dates for the month of June.
IV. GuideStar Update
A. I’ve begun working on updating the Folk Project profile on the GuideStar web site, using information from several sources, and plan to be done with it by years end.
Respectfully submitted,
