NEW BUSINESS
Reopening Committee: Chair Bob McNally proposed that to keep the FP/Troubadour open, regain audience attraction, and be safe, the existing motions are modified;
While operating under the high-risk CDC Community Levels rating of Orange:
1. Masked breaks be permitted at concert events.
2. Food be permitted, to be eaten outdoors.
3. Additionally, an isolated, voluntary area indoors may be provided where guests who so choose may remove their masks to eat. Other then that designated, isolated area, masks are required.
He described the proposal as making the increased risk of unmasked eating a voluntary choice which does not impact people not making that choice. He also felt allowing masked breaks addresses audience needs more gracefully, and increases the income of merchandise sales for our performers. In addition, the quality of experience for performers and attendees is increased without adding involuntary risk.
The board further agreed that individual venue chairs, in consultation with the relevant venue members would be able to increase restrictions as the need arises. Additionally, the Reopening Committee will present a complete set of guidelines at the June meeting.
