Minstrel Booking

Well, I can finally say without any weasel-words, we had a good month at the Minstrel in March. Average attendance was 102 over the three regular shows, highlighted by a 151 attendance for Bucky Pizzarelli on the 4th. When we factor in the Open Stage, the average drops to 88.5. (Even the Open Stage was realatively well-attended with 47, and it proved a really good show as well.) For the past 12 months we averaged 84.8 for regular shows. Our profit for the month was a misleading $1817, but only because Ed Roffman credited us in advance with his promised donation to finance the Elixir concert coming up on April 28 to celebrate his and Robin's 25th (I think) anniverary.

A couple of cool bookings made over the past month:

July 15: The Shockenaw Mountain Boys: an acoustic subset of Railroad Earth, including Andy Goessling and Tim Carbone. With Scooter and Friends opening.

October 7: The Jeremy Kittel band. Monster fiddler.

The April and May lineups auger well for continued good numbers. The April Fool Show on the 2nd. (Fooled ya!) The Kennedy's on the 15th. And dark horse Butch Ross, whom I'm very high on on the 22nd.

I will not be at the meeting. This Friday I leave on a real live tour, starting at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs, then Rochester NY on Saturday, and then a 2-week house concert tour through Ontario. I'll be back on the 18th.
