Hi All,
I want to thank everyone for getting the submissions in to Liz on time this month. I appreciate the hard work, co-operation and teamwork that you have all put forth for the good of our Folk Project. And I especially appreciate Liz for all her hard work and dedication. I know, everyone will continue to expend their energies in an effort to get everything to Liz on time for the July Newsletter, and I thank you all in advance for that. This Month, we printed 400 copies of the newsletter. Our Printed Newsletters did get out the day after Memorial Day; no easy task after the wonderfully sleepless Spring Festival; and I’m thankful for the help and encouragement of our President. I trust they were received on time. There was an unfortunate glitch in our E-Newsletter transmission this month. It was due to a breakdown in communication between the Newsletter Committee and our Webmaster. Procedural steps have been instituted to prevent this from happening in the future. The e-newsletter went out yesterday afternoon. We did well for printing costs this month. With the discounts, we were able to lower the printing costs from $348.00 to $222.75 for a savings of $125.25. The Staples total cost was $222.75. The postage costs came to $135.00 for 300 Stamps. So our newsletter costs this month were $222.75 from Staples and $135.00 from the Post Office for a total of $357.75 for this month.
I will bring a supply of June Newsletters to the Board Meeting for our dance program, and anyone else who desires them; and I will bring the monthly Minstrel supply to the Minstrel this Friday.
All the best
Carl
