Subject: December Event Hosting Report

Dear Boardgoise:

As the holidays approach, Event Hosting is steady as she goes.

Marie and I hosted the November Evening of Music. The turnout was smallish – approximately 30 people, and perhaps 15 players/singers – but actually a fine size for providing opportunities to make music (and schmooze… and gorge…and guzzle). We had one new face/voice, and there’s a decent chance that he will become a new member as well. I haven’t heard anything indicating that moving the date to the third Saturday to avoid conflicting with NERFA caused any problems or impacted on attendance.

Pamela Zave and Yolanda Fundora will be hosting the holiday party/December Eve O’ on the regular second Saturday, starting at 7:00. I’m sure they will host with their usual hospitality and artistic flair. I’ve allocated $75 from the Board’s $500 grant to EH for them to spend on special holiday goodies.

Diane Polledri will host the January Eve O’, and Steve Humphreys will host in February. I’ve very grateful to both for changing their schedules to accommodate the events.

As always, I’m looking for volunteers to host future events, and happy to consider any ideas, both for new events and use of the grant.

Submitted in the spirit of the Project.
