Subject: F P Newsletter Report for the June 2010 Board Meeting
I guess we can blame the timing of the festival and all the additional duties many of our Folk Project Newsletter contributors needed to accomplish for the few late submissions that delayed the Newsletter completion this month, but I still want to thank everyone for getting the submissions in to Liz as soon as you all did this month. I appreciate the hard work, co-operation and teamwork that you have all put forth for the good of our Folk Project. And I especially appreciate Liz for all her hard work and dedication. I know, next month everyone will expend their energies in an effort to get everything to Liz on time, and I thank you all in advance for that. I also want to thank Joe Petraitis, who for the last so many months has been helping me prepare the newsletters for mailing. We mailed out 303 newsletters this month, six less than the previous month. I had 400 copies printed up. I will be bringing a supply for the meeting on Tuesday and to the Minstrel on Friday.
We did well for printing costs this month. We got 20% off plus I used the coupons from this month's awards. This lowered the printing cost from $332.60 to $171.10 for a savings of $161.50. That's not such a bad savings for the printing. Because I am printing the labels as well from now on, I needed to purchase Ink and printing labels this month, I had to spend an additional $145.95, which ate in to most of our printing savings. This supply should last us through the next nine months. The postage costs came to $132.00 for 300 Stamps. I still had some left over from last month, so was able to get them all out. I look forward to seeing you all at a lively board meeting on Tuesday.
