This indulgent dip combines the rich flavors of cream cheese, tangy ranch dressing, and spicy hot sauce with tender shredded chicken, creating a creamy and zesty appetizer that's perfect for game days, parties, or casual gatherings. Its bold flavors and creamy texture make it a crowd favorite that pairs wonderfully with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 small breasts), cooked and shredded
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 ounces sour cream
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese (add more if you prefer a cheesier dip)
3 tablespoons hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot or Sriracha; adjust to taste)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional: milk to thin the dip if desired
Optional toppings: additional grated cheese, chopped parsley, or cilantro
Cook the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.
Cook the chicken until browned and cooked through, about 13–15 minutes, depending on size.
Remove from the pan and let rest for a few minutes before shredding.
Prepare the Dip:
In the same pan, add the shredded chicken and hot sauce.
Stir to combine and heat through.
Add the cream cheese and sour cream to the pan.
Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and the cheese has melted.
If the dip is too thick, add a few tablespoons of milk to reach your desired consistency.
Add Cheese:
Stir in the grated mozzarella cheese until fully melted and incorporated.
Serve:
Transfer the dip to a serving dish.
Optional: sprinkle additional grated cheese on top and garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro.
Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks.
