These Pastrami Football Finger Sandwiches are a creative and crowd pleasing game day snack. The savory combination of warm rye bread, smoky pastrami, and gooey Swiss cheese delivers big flavor in bite sized form. Finished with a mustard mayo relish spread and a brush of melted butter, they bake into crispy, cheesy “football” sandwiches that are both festive and delicious.

8 slices rye bread
½ pound (about 8 oz) thinly sliced pastrami
4 oz Swiss cheese, sliced
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon pickle relish
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
2 tablespoons melted butter
Preheat your oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
Arrange the rye bread slices on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, stir together the mustard, mayonnaise, and pickle relish. Spread this mixture evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
On four of the slices, layer the pastrami and Swiss cheese. Top with the remaining slices of bread, placing the mustard mayo relish side inward.
Brush the outsides of the sandwiches with the melted butter.
Bake for about 10–12 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven, cut into bite-sized pieces, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
