Full Recipe:
For the Salmon:
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Juice of ½ lemon
Directions:
Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Sear the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Liquids: Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
Finish the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens. Add the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
Combine and Serve: Return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let them simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes to heat through. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
