3 ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup butter, melted
¾ cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1½ cups all purpose flour
Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until mostly smooth.
Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is well blended.
Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir them in.
Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
