24 Oreo cookies (divided use)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate fudge cake mix
½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, cold and sliced
Optional: 6 Oreo cookies, crushed, for topping
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
Layer the Oreos: Place 18 Oreo cookies in a single layer at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Evenly pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk over the layer of Oreos.
Spread Whipped Topping: Carefully spread the thawed whipped topping over the sweetened condensed milk layer.
Add Cake Mix: Sprinkle the dry chocolate fudge cake mix evenly over the whipped topping. Do not stir.
Add Butter: Place the cold, sliced butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
