Ingredients:
225g unsalted butter, softened
200g brown sugar
100g caster sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
350g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
300g chocolate chips (milk or dark chocolate)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and caster sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, sift together the plain flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
Use a spoon or cookie scoop to place dollops of dough onto the prepared baking tray, spacing them about 5cm apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking tray for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
