Baked Boursin Salmon is a delightful dish that combines the rich, creamy texture of Boursin cheese with the delicate flavor of perfectly baked salmon. This one-pan recipe is both elegant and easy to prepare, making it ideal for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. The addition of garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs enhances the natural flavors of the salmon, creating a meal that's both comforting and sophisticated.
4 skinless salmon fillets (6 oz each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
Zest and juice of ½ lemon
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese, at room temperature
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Lemon slices, for serving (optional)
Optional: cherry tomatoes or asparagus, for baking alongside
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly oil a baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them skin-side down in the prepared baking dish.
Season the Salmon: Drizzle the olive oil over the fillets. Season with salt and black pepper. Sprinkle the lemon zest and minced garlic evenly over the top of each fillet.
Add the Boursin Cheese: Slice or break up the Boursin cheese and place dollops on top of each fillet. It doesn't need to be perfectly spread; it will melt beautifully as it bakes.
Bake the Salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. For a golden cheesy top, you can switch to broil for the last 1–2 minutes.
Finish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon slices on the side.
