2 cups macaroni pasta
1 pound cooked shrimp
1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup chopped celery
1 medium red bell pepper, diced
½ cup sliced green onions
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
Salt and black pepper to taste
Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni pasta and cook until al dente, following package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
Prepare the Shrimp: If using frozen shrimp, thaw them according to package instructions. Once thawed, peel and devein the shrimp if necessary. Chop the shrimp into bite-sized pieces.
Chop Vegetables: While the pasta is cooking, chop the celery, red bell pepper, and slice the green onions into small, uniform pieces.
Make the Dressing: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, dried dill weed, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and cooled macaroni, chopped shrimp, celery, red bell pepper, and green onions. Pour the dressing over the mixture and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
Chill and Serve: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
