This Creamy Bacon Chicken is a rich and indulgent dish that's surprisingly simple to prepare. Tender chicken breasts are pan-fried to golden perfection and smothered in a luscious bacon-infused cream sauce. Ready in about 30 minutes, it's perfect for a weeknight dinner or entertaining guests.
Full Recipe:
6 strips bacon
2 large chicken breasts
Flour, for dredging
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Pepper, to taste
½ cup chicken broth
½ teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup heavy/whipping cream
Cook the Bacon: Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy (about 10 minutes). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving about 2 tablespoons of bacon fat in the pan.
Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create 4 thinner cutlets. Season both sides with garlic powder and pepper, then dredge in flour.
Cook the Chicken: In the same skillet with the reserved bacon fat, cook the chicken over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce: Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and butter to the skillet. Let it simmer until the sauce reduces by half (about 3-4 minutes). Stir in the heavy cream and cook until the sauce is bubbling.
Combine: Return the chicken and bacon to the skillet, simmering until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened to your liking.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve the creamy bacon chicken with your choice of side dishes.
