Full Recipe:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ head of cabbage, chopped
½ cup (120ml) beef broth
Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked through. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Sauté Onion and Garlic: Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the beef. Cook for about 3–4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Incorporate Tomato Paste and Seasonings: Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes, allowing it to caramelize slightly. Add paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
Add Cabbage and Broth: Toss in the chopped cabbage and stir to combine with the beef mixture. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Simmer: Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and has absorbed the flavors. Adjust seasoning if needed.
