2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
12 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined.
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Bake: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is light golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve: Allow the cookie bars to cool completely in the pan set on a wire rack. Once cool, use the parchment overhang to lift them out of the pan and cut into 24 bars.
