1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, depending on preference)
6 large eggs
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1 loaf French bread or bread of choice, cut into cubes
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Optional toppings: chopped green onions, hot sauce, or a sprinkle of parsley
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the sausage until browned and cooked through. Remove excess grease if needed and set aside to cool slightly.
