General Information Body Paragraph:

Purrgil are Whale-like creatures that can survive in the vacuum of space. What makes this species more notable than any other, is that it can travel through hyperspace: almost faster than any other star ship. They often live in deep space, travelling from star system to star system on their meagre pods. Another sub species of Purrigil are called Purrigil Ultra; they are over twice the size of a normal Purrgil and travel alongside each other in their pods. They have a streamlined body with tentacles on the back end, that seem to be the energy source of the whale is located. Their tails go into a deep blue reverberating colour, before entering hyperspace. This is what first motivated early scientists to develop the hyperdrive, so that intergalactic travel is possible.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Before time was recorded, a species of Zabrak first harnessed and documented the power of a Purrgil and learnt to ride them. Later, many sentients beings began to understand and learn from the natural abilities of the Purrgil and developed the first Hyperdrives. The Jedi order well documented the hyperspace networks the Purrgil and stored within the Jedi Archives. However, as the threat of space crashes increased, pirates often killed any Purrgil they came across in other to make hyperspace travel safer.

The famous Kessel run that Han Solo completed in twelve parsecs: the route he took was based on an old migration route.  The Purrgil famously defeated the Empire in the Battle of Lothal in 1 BBY, through the guidance of Padawan Ezra Bridger – that ultimately led to the downfall of Grand Admiral Thrawn. During the battle. The Ultra Purrigil used their vast tentacles to grapple in the imperial fleet, and within seconds launched into hyperspace with Ezra and the Grandmaster… to an unknown galaxy to a planet called Malachor. We find out that this is the death place of all Purrgil: moments before death, they’ll transport themselves to this planet as their final resting place.
