Quarsh Panaka, also known as Captain Panaka, was a male human born on the planet Naboo in the last decades of the Galactic Republic. He worked as a security chief for the Royal House of Naboo. 

History/Background Body Paragraph:

After 32 BBY, Quarsh Panaka was in the service of Queen Padmé Amidala. When the Trade Federation droids began to invade Naboo, Panaka and the Queen were captured and were to be taken to a prison camp. Suddenly, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn and Jar-Jar Binks came to the rescue. After they all escaped, they made their way to Coruscant, but the hyperdrive was damaged and they had to land on the planet Tatooine. 

After the hyperdrive was repaired, they flew to Coruscant, to discuss the current state of Naboo and request for help. Unfortunately, the Senate abolished the idea of sending help to Naboo, therefore they went back to the planet.

Panaka was a loyal protector. He trusted Queen Padmé Amidala with his own life.
