General Information Body Paragraph: When still a Youngling, the future of the Order, it is already common knowledge that regular group trainings are hosted in order to enhance saber mastery, force usage, emotional balance, but it's not alone that this group must then face such challenges, as everyone is assigned a group that shall be treated as family. Living in close quarters, such clans will most likely be chosen before the age of three (or equivalent age for species who age differently), and the Jedi responsible for those must always watch over them. Some examples are: the bear clan, for the brave; the dragon clan, for the tenacious; the katarn clan, for the stealthy; the bergruufta clan, for the loyal; the squall clan, for the swift; the heliost clan, for great insight, and so on. In case of first arriving at the temple at a later age, the clan is assigned upon arrival, and even then there must be no refusal to participate or need for separation, except in cases when deep meditation reveals the right answer. Until right before coming a padawan, your clan will be your family, and then your master later on.

History/Background Body Paragraph: It is not yet known when these clans were first created, however, it is known that they precede Grandmaster Yoda’s time as a padawan, allowing many names such as Count Dooku, Ahsoka Tano, and Thame Cerulian to be part of these groups.

Additional Information Body Paragraph: Anakin Skywalker, due to his age upon becoming part of the order, did skip this stage to already become Obi-Wan Kenobi’s padawan. Later on, during Luke Skywalker’s time rebuilding the New Jedi Order, he founded the Ronto and Veermok clans.
