Dark Jedi may use the same or similar powers as Jedi, such as telekinesis, mind manipulation, and lightsaber combat, but they use them for their own personal gain or to serve the goals of the dark side. They may also use the dark side’s signature ability, Force lightning, which is a destructive energy that they can direct at their enemies. 

It’s worth noting that the term “Dark Jedi” is sometimes used interchangeably with “Sith”, which is a specific order of Force users who follow the teachings of the dark side. However, not all Dark Jedi are Sith, and there have been cases where Dark Jedi have opposed the Sith and worked against them.

The history and backstory of Dark Jedi is complex and spans many different eras and stories within the galaxy. The first Dark Jedi on record were a group of Jedi who fell to the dark side during the Hundred-Year Darkness, a conflict that took place around 7,000 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin). These Jedi were exiled from the Jedi Order and became known as the “Dark Jedi of the Sith”, as they eventually joined forces with the native Sith species of the planet Korriban and established the Sith Empire.

Over many centuries, many Jedi fell to the dark side and became Dark Jedi, including some who were former students of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. One notable example is Count Dooku, who was once a Jedi Master and the Padawan of Jedi Grand Master Yoda.

It is important to note that, even though the Sith and the Dark Jedi share their origin, the two terms have been separated by time and events.
