General Information Body Paragraph: The Path of the Open Hand is an extremist cult that believed no one should be able to use the Force, including the Jedi Order. The Path believed that using the Force abused and harmed the entity of the Force. They also believed the Force would always seek to balance itself out, if a user used the Force to save lives, then somewhere across the galaxy the Force would take the same amount of lives. Due to the nature of the belief by the cult, they grew heavy tensions with the Jedi Order. The cult would steal Force Artifacts from the Jedi, murder their younglings, and neutralize their connection to the Force by using a beast called “The Great Leveler”.

History/Background Body Paragraph: The Path of the Open Hand was founded by Sachar Rold on the planet of Dalna. The Path lived on the planet self-sufficiently, slowly growing in members and cementing their ideals. Many years later, a woman by the name of Elecia Zeveron soon took over leadership of the Path. She claimed to be guided by the Force and her peers believed her. Elecia was the one who pushed for the Path’s expansion and the idea of stealing Force Artifacts. The Path continued to expand itself, exploiting planets in war by recruiting their civilians seeking better lives.

Additional Information Body Paragraph: The Path of the Open Hand eventually split into multiple other organizations after the Battle of Dalna. The Battle of Dalna, also known as the Dalna Massacre, was the encounter between the Jedi Order and the Path of the Open Hand. The Jedi Order received reinforcements from the Galactic Republic and made swift work of the Path. Leading to the massive casualties of not only members of the Path but also Dalna civilians. After the battle, the Path dissolved into multiple descendant groups. Such as the Elders of the Path and the Nihil marauder group.
