Dantooine was a planet located in the Dantooine system in the Raioballo sector of the Outer Rim Territories as well as the New Territories region. Dantooine was also located near the Angor and Sinsang systems. It was the fourth planet of its sun, Dina, Dantooine also has two moons whose name remains unknown. Before the discovery of illum, Dantooine was the main source of kyber crystals.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

A few centuries before the start of the Clone Wars, records of the Jedi Order’s activities were found on Dantooine. There was a Jedi temple on the planet, in which some Jedi had found kyber crystals in the eggs of the native species, Kinrath. After the Jedi left Dantooine, the Republic reclaimed Dantooine as a part of its campaign to colonize the Outer Rims. Dantooine was also an important part of the Republic and later the Galactic Empire.

Additional Information Body Paragraph:

Before the arrival of the Jedi, Dantooine was a quiet and less developed city with a small population consisting mainly of farmers. Due to the poor development, at the time indoor lightning was considered a novelty only meant for the elite. A special  feature of the Dantooine‘s kyber crystals was that they healed the user's stamina, allowing them to fight longer.
