The Galaxy Gun was a superweapon created by the Galactic Empire around 10 ABY designed by the Imperial engineer Umak Leth, who was also a chief weapon engineer of the original Death Star.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The Galaxy Gun was designed to defend against attacks from the New Republic in the Galactic Empire’s attempts to restore their rule. The Empire first used the weapon against the New Republic’s base on Pinnacle Moon. It had been entirely decimated within just moments after activation of the superweapon. Around 11 ABY, the Galaxy Gun was left in orbit around Planet Byss. During this time,  Emperor Palpatine finally died in the Battle of Onderon. The Galaxy Gun was destroyed shortly after that when R2-D2 took control of the super star-destroyer, the Eclipse II, and put it on a direct hyperspace route to crash into the superweapon. Umak Leth, the designer of the weapon, also died as he was present on the Eclipse II.

The weapon was around 7,250 meters in length and had a hyperdrive rating of 6.0. The weapon had hyperdrive capability in addition to sublight thrusters. The weapon had the most advanced ion cannons and turbolasers the galaxy had to offer at the time of its construction. It also had automated laser cannon turrets for defense against warships in addition to energy shields.
