     Count Dooku, also known as Darth Tyranus, was an infamous Force-sensitive human male from the planet Serenno and was a well-known Jedi Master who defected to the dark side, and his padawan was Qui-Gon Jinn - a vital figure in the Star Wars lore. Upon his defection, he became apprenticed under the even more infamous Darth Sidious - a maleficent Dark Lord of the Sith. Dooku ended up being ultimately killed by his master in the act of Sithly betrayal.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

     Upon being discovered as Force-sensitive, Dooku studied under the guidance of the Jedi Order - more specifically, he studied as a Padawan of the famous Grandmaster Yoda. After learning many things from his newly acquired master, Dooku received an apprentice of his own - Qui-Gon Jinn, the future teacher and role-model of Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, due to Dooku’s political ideals, noble heritage and worldview, he voluntarily left the Order and renounced the light side of the Force, becoming an apprentice to Darth Sidious and reclaiming his nobility status on his homeworld. The now Darth Tyranus, while under the instructions of his master, managed to form two vast armies to counter the Republic and unite many star systems under the Separatist cause. 

     Darth Tyranus met his timely end at the hands of Jedi Master Anakin Skywalker, ironically the student of his Padawan's student. The latter was cleverly manipulated by Dooku’s master, the aforementioned Darth Sidious. Anakin later replaced the Sith noble in being the Dark Lord's apprentice, turning into Darth Vader.

     It is worth adding that during his time serving the Dark Lord, Dooku had two students: General Grievous - a cybernetically-enhanced Kaleesh who was taught in the art of lightsabre combat, and Asajj Ventress - who was strong in the ways of the Force. Both commanded his armies and acted as his "generals".
