AAT is a medium armored assault tank of the Trade Federation used later in the army of the Confederation of Independent Systems. The tank had two rocket launchers, two anti-personnel blaster guns, and one heavy anti-tank gun. All these weapons made the AAT a dangerous enemy for many vehicles and infantry. In addition, the AAT tanks could be piloted by standard B1 droids, which significantly reduced costs in the event of the destruction of the AAT.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The AAT was initially developed by the Baktoid Weapon Workshops for the army of the Trade Federation based on droids because the AAT was originally designed for the gaborites of standard B1 droids. One of the main features of the AAT were repulsors, thanks to which the tank could develop quite good speed and maneuverability, be able to move sideways, and easily turn on the spot. AAT participated in many battles with the army of the Galactic Republic, providing fire support for droids marching on the enemy. The armor of the AAT was thick enough to withstand a hit from the main gun of the AT-AT, but a hit from artillery on the AAT already led to their destruction.

Naturally, the AAT had its drawbacks: Large dimensions, low autonomy, a droid crew not capable of self-learning and non-standard thinking, and the inability to pass through energy shields. Despite such shortcomings, the separatists were not going to abandon the AAT tanks; they were

quite satisfied with the available indicators, and the improvements obtained in the future made it possible to make the AAT the most effective tank in the Confederate Army.
