General Information Body Paragraph:
During the reign of the Galactic Republic, the current Supreme Chancellor, Sheev Palpatine developed a set of Contingency Orders to be memorized by every Clone Trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic.
These sets of orders were to ensure that the Clone Army could operate at full effectiveness in case a serious political, disastrous or military  situation was to erupt within the Galactic Republic. However these orders were kept between the Grand Army of the Republic’s top officers, and the Office of the Supreme Chancellor. Any Clone Trooper acting in violation of these orders were to be seen as “Traitors to the Republic” and either executed or arrested for Treason depending on the severity of said command. 

History/Background Body Paragraph:
The orders that these troopers were to carry out could not be resisted or ignored without removing one’s inhibitor chip. These chips were implanted into every clone’s brain at birth by the Kaminoians and by orders of the Chancellor to ensure that they were to follow the order exactly as instructed. 

Some troopers such as CT-5555 aka “Fives”  removed his inhibitor chip after learning the truth about the chip’s purpose and overall secrecy. After confronting the Supreme Chancellor he would learn of the evil plans the Chancellor had, this would prompt Fives to attempt to assassinate him. After his failed assassination attempt he would go into hiding, however he was a threat to the Chancellor’s power if word got out, so Palpatine sent a clone squad to track down Fives and kill him.

Some of the orders that were recognized by the Clone Army were as follows;

 Order 4: in the case that the Supreme Chancellor is to be incapacitated, the GAR shall rely on orders from the Vice Chancellor until a successor can be appointed. 

Order 5: in the event that the Supreme Chancellor is deemed unfit to issue orders, the Chief of Defense Staff shall assume GAR command. 

Order 37: the capture of a single person through mass-arrest or execution is authorized.

Order 65: if the Supreme Chancellor is deemed unfit to issue orders, the GAR is to detain and remove the Chancellor with lethal force if necessary. 

Order 66: in the event that the Jedi Order is acting against the interests of the Republic and the Senate, the GAR (with the order being issued by the Supreme Chancellor) shall remove all Jedi and their officers with lethal force.
