Soresu is a Lightsaber Form. There are 7 Lightsaber Forms. Soresu is the third form and is gradually getting stronger. It can repel attacks without effort, resulting in the enemy getting weaker, as you get stronger and stronger and have enough power to win against him afterwards. It is used for defense and is also called "The Way of the Mynock". As there was advancement in the technology of blasters, the Jedi had to protect themselves from gunfire and deflect the blaster beams. Soresu was always evolving, and became a success.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Form III was constantly used and used, so this form was available for a long time. The exiled truth belonged to a Jedi who had used this form earlier. With the Soresu style, you could bounce back blaster shots as well as deflect them. Since you concentrate more when deflecting, this form becomes the most defensive. Even though this is instructed as a disadvantage, the Sith or Jedi would have the most advantage in the battlefield. If you mastered this style very well, a Jedi of this variety could deflect these shots several times and only then let them hit.
