A rocky planet covered by vast oceans and dotted with isolated islands, Castilon is located in the Castilon system of the Tashtor sector, within the Central Belt, also within the area known as the Western Reaches , in square I-16 on the Standard Galactic Grid. This system has one star and the planet itself is orbited by two moons. It has a breathable atmosphere for the many different species that live there, including humans. Castilon is home to Chelidae, an amphibian that prefers to live on water, and is also home to many non-sentient creatures, including avian gulls and aquatic creatures such as sharks, snarlfish and snarlfish. After the Battle of Endor, a battle took place on the planet between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic, resulting in the Star Destroyer being sent into the ocean. By 34 ABY, Doza lived in Colossus's tower with his daughter Torra, his droid assistant 4D-M1N, and the pilots of Ace Squadron. The platform is frequently attacked by nearby pirates, although after the First Order betrays them, both crews have a common enemy. Towards the end of the Cold War, the First Order became interested in using Colossus as a staging location. However, Captain Doza refused to place the platform under First Order control, although he attempted to maintain a cordial relationship with them. The First Order used the Warbird gang led by Kragan Gorr to attack Colossus several times in an attempt to get Doza to accept their offer, but he remained reluctant. By kidnapping his daughter, the First Order convinced Doza to allow their presence, leading to the occupation of the Colossus platform and continued escalation. The civilian residents of Colossus who had accepted the First Order began to protest the occupation. The First Order eventually targeted residents who opposed or challenged their control, placing them under house arrest and sending them off-world. After the First Order discovered Xiono's true identity as a spy, he, along with Jarek Yeager and Neeku Vozo, planned to send a message to the Resistance. To reach the First Order's communications jammer on Doza Tower, they coordinated with Captain Doza, sinking the platform almost completely beneath the ocean's surface. They successfully disabled the jammer, contacting General Leia Organa, who informed them that the Resistance was unable to assist.
