General Information Body Paragraph:

The E-7 E-wing multi-role starfighter, also called E-wing escort, was a single pilot starfighter designed to exceed the X-wing series starfighter in every aspect. Developed by FreiTek Inc, and updated with laser cannons, this ship was meant to replace the X-wing, but unfortunately suffered several problems including malfunctioning laser cannons and R7 astromech issues. As a result many pilots continued to use the old, but reliable X-wing series.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Introduced during Grand Admiral Thraw’s campaign to rebuild the fallen Empire. The Rew Republic would eventually see the widespread use of the E-wing, and would play a significant role in the Black Fleet Crisis through the Yuuzhan Vong war, and beyond. By the time of the Second Galactic Civil War, the E-wing had been developed into an amazing starfighter for the Galactic Alliance.

Coming in at 185,000 credits, most of the cost of an E-wing came from the use of an R7 droid. Being much more of an expensive astromech to the classic R2 and R5. Though this relatively high cost equips pilots with an excellent combination of firepower, and maneuverability being able to reason 1,300 km/h in atmospheric conditions. Having 3 laser cannons, one proton torpedo, with a capacity of 16 torpedoes, with heavy armor and its own deflector shield, the E-wing was a well equipped heavy starfighter.
