Yavin XIII
General Information
Yavin XIII is the thirteenth moon of Yavin Prime, and is located in the outer rims, inside of the Yavin System, orbiting the Yavin star. Yavin XIII was known to be a very plain planet, being completely covered with arid deserts as well as big assemblies of cacti. Yavin XIII also seemed to have grassy plains and a shallow body of water in its southern hemisphere, which was the only source of humidity for the other regions of the planet. The moon seemed to have two native, relatively sentient species by the name of “Slith” and “Gerbs”. Yavin XIII didn’t have any sort of government, nor any allegiance to any sort of political party (Such as the galactic republic, empire, or the confederate of independent systems), and such, was ruled by a number of separate tribes which were owned by the two native species on the planet. The Sliths were mostly located inside of Yavin XIII’s rocky regions, while the Gerbs lived under the grassy region of the moon, each of them establishing their own society, both working completely differently. The Sliths had a more nomadic style, traveling from place to place, worrying about nothing but hunting for their next meal. The Gerbs, on the other hand, were peaceful, underground farmers, trying to make food out of their own hard work rather than hunting inside the rocky regions.
History/Background
Yavin XIII was occasionally visited by treasure hunters, although not much contact was made with the natives during said expeditions. After the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin IV was captured by two groups by the name of “The Peace Brigade” and “The Yuuzhan Vong” in the year of 26 ABY, all life on Yavin XIII was exterminated by one of said groups, wiping out both of the native species.
Additional Information
Yavin XIII’s natives were completely unaware of offworld affairs, which included any and all political parties, republics or empires, being only aware about their day-to-day life. As with Yavin VIII, Yavin XIII was barely visited by anybody but treasure hunters, with barely any people knowing about the moon.
