Exar Kun
General Information Body Paragraph:
Exar Kun, a male of the human species that was born in the year 4020 BBY was formerly a Jedi Knight who then eventually became the Dark Lord of the Sith. He was a Jedi Knight apprenticed under legendary Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, one that would contribute to killing Kun several millennia afterwards, however easily turned to the dark side of the force early in his Jedi training. He was mainly known for waging a destructive war against the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order during the era of the Old Sith Wars. He was seen as pure evil as from the very beginning he showed major interest in learning more about the dark side and had a very arrogant and prideful personality where he looked down negatively towards his fellow students. He would even engage in brutal fighting with them and was extremely racist, believing that humans were superior to aliens. Being born in the year 4020 BBY, Kun’s physical body died in 3996 BBY on the planet of Yavin IV and then on the same planet eventually his spirit was killed in 11 ABY.
History/Background Body Paragraph:
During his training as a mere student as a Jedi he came across debarred knowledge of the ancient history of the Sith. This knowledge brung dark thoughts to Exar Kun. Not able to withstand the urge to find out more, he became extremely self-confident in his abilities and combined with this was exceedingly filled with a burning inquisitiveness regarding the Sith and their strong beliefs on gaining immense power and strength. He went on a mission to find out more, and his search led him to the planet of Onderon, which was formerly a planet ruled by a Sith Lord named Freedon Nadd. With the aid of two of Nadd’s followers, they guided Kun to Nadd’s tomb on Onderon’s moon Dxun and there Kun was encountered by the spirit of Nadd, the dead Sith. Naad saw potential within Kun seeing him as a way to regain his physical form and so directed Kun to the holy Sith homeworld of Korriban where Kun was now destined to become one with the dark side of the force. Kaan plotted to agonizingly injure Kun, only promising to heal him if he would turn to the dark side and stayed loyal to it. Kun then next traveled to the moon Yavin 4 where he enslaved prehistoric species known as the Massassi living there and forced them to build him substantial temple complexes across the forested world. Kun was now fully enslaved to the dark side of the force making him very powerful which caused him to banish Nadd’s spirit due to never trusting him in the first place nor now needing his help. Kun was now on the quest to search out several other of Kaan’s apprentices that were a threat to Kun and his future plans. Kun fundamentally stumbled upon Ulic Qel-Droma who was once a Jedi Knight, equally to Kun, and was later on seduced by the Dark Side when his master was slaughtered by a Krath attack. The two curtly dueled until it was interrupted by a spirit of an ancient Dark Lord of the Sith who was long dead, named Marka Ragnos. The Sith Lord informed both Kun and Droma that they were both equally fitted to become Sith Lords with Kun becoming the master and Droma becoming Kun’s apprentice. Together they were determined to bring a Sith golden age back to the galaxy, and allied themselves with the remnants of the Krath and the Mandalorian warrior clans. With a massive army, Kun and Droma were now able to commence a full-scale war against the Republic in the year 3996 BBY. During the ongoing war, Kun traveled to the planet of Ossus where the Jedi Library was assembled and murdered the Jedi Keeper of Antiquities, Odan-Urr and took ownership of an extraordinary Sith holocron. Kun managed to capture and bring back several Jedi to his planet, Yavin 4, where he used the holocron to manipulate their minds to turn into ‘Sith’ and placed them under the Brotherhood of the Sith. Kun sent these corrupt Jedi to kill their former masters and cause chaos around the galaxy. Whilst all of this was happening, Kun headed out to the Republic Capital world of Coruscant to set free his apprentice who had been captured by the Republic. Kun burst into the senate hall amidst his apprentices' trial for various war crimes, and ultimately killed the concurrent Supreme Chancellor, Sidrona, and set Qel-Droma free. Throughout their attempt at escaping Coruscant, Kun was once again confronted by his former master, Vodo-Siosk Baas. Inadequate of being able to persuade Baas to join his side, Kun revealed his new design, the double-bladed lightsaber and killed Baas in a tough duel. Soon after, manipulating Aleema Keto, the one who had been responsible for Qel-Droma’s apprehension, Kun made her produce a massive supernova in the Cron Cluster that was sure to destroy the planet Ossus where they were able to simultaneously steal from the Great Jedi Library for its primordial treasures whilst the jedi order evacuated. Whilst Kun was able to make it in and out with a decent haul, Qel-Droma once again got caught in combat, slaughtered his brother, Cay Qel-Droma, and was taken prisoner and was dispossessed of his connection to the force. Heartbroken by his brother’s death, Qel-Droma switched sides and led the Jedi to Kun’s base on the planet Yavin IV. In the ongoing battle, Kun refused to go quietly and instead decided to administer a prehistoric ritual to free his spirit from his mortal form so he could wreak depredation through the cosmos. However this ritual did not entirely work as although he managed to make the Jedi believe he had died, his spirit was trapped on Yavin IV for the next several millennia. Fast forwarding all the way to 11 ABY, Legendary Master Luke Skywalker entrenched a Jedi training ground on the very same planet as he was hoping to rebuild the Jedi Order. After thousands of years in segregation, Kun attempted to regulate Skywalker’s young apprentices to do his bidding and managed to influence a single apprentice going by the name of Kyp Durron to the dark side of the force and severely wounded Master Skywalker. With the help of the long-dead shadow of Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas and a band of Skywalker’s apprentices, they overwhelmed Kun and banished his spirit to finally put an end to his negative schemes.
Additional Information Body Paragraph:
Exar Kun was seen as the most formidable student that Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas had ever trained and realised that his power in the force only grew once he undertook the dark side of the force into his heart. During his time as a Sith, Kun developed many abilities that would give him an advantage in battle such as force rage, force pull/disarm, force wound and much more. Exar Kun was notably remembered for his innovation of the double-bladed lightsaber as using a blue-bladed weapon and his original blue-bladed lightsaber, he constructed the double-bladed lightsaber. However it was theorized that Kun may have followed instruction from an ancient Sith holocron by original Sith Lords that dated back all the way in the era of the Hundred-Year Darkness, way before Kun’s beginning. Kun was also able to decide whether he wanted to use one blade or both as he installed a second emitter matrix on the other end of the lightsaber handle.
