Skako had high-pressure methane for its atmosphere, and to anyone who breathed this, it could cause serious damage and even fatality, depending if your species was exempt from injury from methane. Skako also had a well known similarity to Skako Minor, being more famous due to Clone Force 99 operating a mission on this planet.

Skako was the homeworld of the Skakoan species. This species were required to wear pressure masks to prevent damage to themselves due to the high pressure methane. This species had their own language, going by the name Skakoverbal.
