General Information Body Paragraph:

Borleias was the fourth and only remaining inhabited planet in the Pyria system. It was located within the Colonies region at the edge of the Galactic Core and ran alongside the Namadii Corridor. The Galactic Republic established a small base on Borleias and used it as a waypoint for transport to the Corporate Sector.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The planet was the site of an Alderaan Biotics operation that was established around 700 BBY. Under the rule of the Galactic Empire, the operation’s facility was converted into a black market production center. This was done by General Evir Derricote before he was transferred to Coruscant to help with the creation of the Krytos virus. To prevent a rebel invasion, the Empire expanded its military base, which included four ion cannons and two TIE Fighter squadrons.

  The New Republic was able to successfully capture Borleias after their first failed attempt in 6.5 ABY. They fortified the planet and used it as a forward base for the Invasion of Coruscant. Its facilities were later used to create the cure for the Krytos virus. Wraith Squadron was stationed on the planet Borleias during a training cycle when the planet fell under attack by Warlord Zsinj. Later an assassination attempt occurred against the Imperial Head of State Jagged Fel on Coruscant. In 44 ABY, the transport ship, Dust Dancer, stopped at Borleias in preparation for the Jedi’s coup against Natasi Daala on Coruscant.
